4 Ways to Establish Your Brand

You have the great idea and the perfect concept, but you need to bring in the customers.  You have officially launched your brand but now you need to find the right way to establish it, which can be a difficult hurdle to overcome.  But, with the right planning and strategy, you can make a name for yourself that no one will ever forget.

Be Consistent

Once you develop your brand, be consistent with what the message is.  Don’t keep changing the colors and the logo. Once your brand is recognizable, you don’t need to do anything else to make it stand out.  This also shows your customers that you stick by your message and you are consistent. If they constantly see things changing, it will draw unwanted attention to your brand.

Be Visible

It is a no brainer that the more people see your brand out there, the more traffic is going to follow.  Making your brand a presence on social media is key. Many people do their shopping online or get their ideas by things that are trending online.  You need to be a part of all the avenues that get people to recognize you. Check out some of the ways that social media can take your business to a whole new level.

If you own a store, you also want to find ways to make your place of business recognizable and attractive to customers.  You can’t just blend in with the other stores that you are surrounded by. You may want to consider creating banners that you can hang in front of the store.  You should have something attractive enough to peak the curiosity of customers passing by.

Be Authentic and Genuine

The customers need to know that you care about them and they always feel welcomed and valued.  Provide customer appreciation opportunities and reward programs to prove to them you genuinely want to see them come around.  Your brand depends on the support of your customers. Developing a loyal customer base and then having them do the free promotions for you is essential.

They will learn to trust your operations system and will be happy to spread your message to others.  Developing merchandise with your brand on it will also encourage customers to buy your merchandise and walk around with as free advertising.  But, that doesn’t happen if you don’t build a relationship with your customers.

Be Impactful in the Community

All people see on the news today is bad events that are taking place.  It is hard to see those feel good stories that really tug at people’s hearts.  You can be that feel good story. Figure out strategies to get involved in the community and help with areas of need.  This will help to market your brand, but also show that people can see you as human beyond the brand. That personal connection and the desire to do good can do wonders for your branding…and you as a person.

Branding is certainly a challenge, but it can be a lot of fun once it takes off.  Think about if you were the customer, how would you respond to your brand? What could be done to make you interested?  If you put yourself in their shoes, you might get a clearer picture of what will attract people to your brand.
